Ingredients

1(8-oz.) can Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent rolls

24 fully cooked cocktail wieners

Ketchup or purchased sweet and sour sauce

Steps

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Grease cookie sheet. Unroll dough; separate into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangles.
  • 2 Place 1 wiener on shortest side of each triangle; roll up to opposite point. Place, point side down, on greased cookie sheet.
  • 3 Bake at 375°F. for 11 to 15 minutes or until deep golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Serve with ketchup.

Slow Cooker Corn Chowder

Ingredients

  • 2 large carrots chopped
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 4 potatoes chopped
  • 2 16 oz cans of corn drained OR one small 10-12oz bag of frozen corn
  • 2 16 oz cans of creamed corn
  • 4 cups of water OR chicken broth
  • 1 lb bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 12 oz can of evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons of butter optional

Instructions

  1. Place everything except for the evaporated milk, cornstarch and butter or margarine into the slow cooker.
  2. Add just enough water or chicken stock to cover the ingredients.
  3. Cook on high 5 hours or low 7-8 hours until vegetables are softened.
  4. Combine cornstarch and evaporated milk. Stir into slow cooker along with butter 30 minutes before serving,
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Slow Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb . ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 large or 2 small onions slivered
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups thickly sliced mushrooms optional
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 can low sodium condensed French Onion soupor beef broth if you can’t find French Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella or a combination

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef and garlic in a pan. Try not to break the beef up too much, you want to have the pieces a good size. Drain any fat.
  2. Place beef, onions, pepper and mushrooms (if using) into a slow cooker. Toss with flour and pepper to taste.
  3. Pour soup & Worcestershire sauce over top of mixture and cook on low 4-5 hours.
  4. Remove lid, sprinkle with cheese and replace lid for a few minutes until it melts.
  5. Serve on rolls or toss with pasta!

Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 corned beef brisket (3-4lbs)
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2.5 – 3 cups water
  • 2 lbs potatoes , peeled & quartered
  • 2 large carrots , chopped
  • 1 small head of cabbage , cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. Chop onion into large chunks and place in the bottom of a 6 qt slow cooker. Top with corned beef and seasoning packet.
  2. Pour water into slow cooker until it just about covers the corned beef. Add garlic and bay leaves.
  3. Cook on low 8-10 hours.
  4. After the initial 3 hours, add potatoes and carrots to the slow cooker.
  5. Two hours before serving, add cabbage wedges to the slow cooker.
  6. Remove corned beef from slow cooker and let rest 15 minutes before slicing. Serve with potatoes, carrots and cabbage.

Recipe Notes

Once cooked your corned beef should be tender (mine usually cooks closer to the 10 hour time).  Appliances can vary, if your corned beef is not tender, it likely needs to cook longer.It is essential to cut your corned beef across the grain.
